What is the Umana Technique©?
The Umana Technique® is a relatively new energetic modality, channelled by Australian spiritual teacher Kachina Ma'an in 2023 (who also created Pellowah).
The word Umana comes from an angelic language and translates as “evolutionary breakthrough”.
Unlike other energy modalities that focus on healing and treating a particular issue or clearing what's blocked, Umana is an activation.
It works by activating a unique system of ten energetic meridians and five higher chakras — the 8th through 12th - initiating a profound process of change and growth that continues long after your session.
Umana has come through to support our collective awakening, helping us to access higher levels of consciousness, self awareness and connection to the Universe.

We mostly hear of the seven main chakras in energy modalities, which influence your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
But beyond them are higher chakras which sit above your physical body.
The Umana Technique® specifically activates the 8th to 12th chakras, each of which play a specific role in supporting your spiritual evolution:

What to expect in a session

Receiving a Umana activation is a deeply relaxing experience.
All my Umana sessions are done remotely, which means you can receive it from anywhere in the world - and it works just as powerfully as an in-person activation.
During a session, I follow a structured sequence of touch (on a proxy for remote sessions) on specific points of the upper body, face and head that correspond and awaken ten dormant meridians within the body and open the five higher chakras.
All you need is a quiet, comfortable space where you won’t be interrupted. Before your session, I'll message you to make sure you're settled and ready. You may choose to lie down, sit comfortably or even receive it while you sleep if you live in the Northern Hemisphere.
Every person’s experience of receiving Umana is unique - and that’s part of its magic.
Some people feel nothing more than a deep calm or relaxation. Many report a sense of peace, visions of colours or sensations of spirit working with them in fascinating ways. Others notice memories or clear insights rising to the surface. Some even experience profound visits or messages from the spirit realm.
Your first Umana session activates and opens the higher chakras permanently.
Each subsequent session builds on the last, expanding them to more advanced functioning and capacity.
Due to the intensity of this energetic upgrade, it is advised to allow at least two weeks to integrate the effects before booking another session.
Who is Umana for?
Umana is ultimately for anyone interested in progressing their spiritual growth. However it is best suited to people who have already done significant work on themselves and been on their spiritual path for some time who are interested in unlocking higher levels of awareness and divine wisdom.
As such, it’s invaluable for practitioners and healers of other modalities who want to amplify their gifts, capacity and spirit connection.
It’s also very supportive if you’re navigating changes in your career, identify or life or wanting to amplify your spiritual connection.
You must be over 16 years of age to receive an activation.
In my experience, it will come at the exact right time so trust the nudge if you’re feeling called to it.
After your Umana activation
The activation continues to work in the days, weeks and months after your session, bringing with it a range of physical, emotional and spiritual shifts.
Integration tends to feel steady and spacious rather than sudden. Clients describe the effects unfolding gradually over time and often getting stronger rather than fading.

Hi, I’m Mandie - spiritual mentor, intuitive coach, Reiki Master, Umana Technique© practitioner and trainer and creator of the Receiving Frequency™ meditation.
For me, there was life before Umana and life after. Which is how clients have described it too.
I had my first Umana session shortly after my birthday in late 2024. And immediately my consciousness expanded.
During the session my psychic eye opened wide and I saw my spirit animal — a mountain lion — walk in as clear as day and curl up underneath the massage table. It stayed by my side the rest of the day.
I walked out feeling so freaking expansive. I was so acutely aware of my energetic spirit self, not just the dense ‘me’ in my physical form.
I knew right away I needed to learn this.
Within a few months, I was one of the last practitioners to be trained and certified directly by Kachina Ma’an. And then not soon after she a certified me as Umana Teacher Trainer.
The same day of my first Umana session, after a four month hibernation in my business, my inspiration returned. I started creating content and had ideas, which was such an unexpected delight!

For me, it became clear I needed to dive into deeper healing of what was holding me back from fully stepping into my power.
I owned my path as a healer and synchronicity led me to become part of an amazing team doing healings at Aboriginal women events.
Things also quickly evolved in business. I channelled and created the Receiving Frequency™ meditation, which has now been downloaded by hundreds of people around the world. I created Divine Edge. And I began sharing the power of Umana with people all over the world.
