Archangel Michael: what he can help you with and how to ask
I spent last Friday on the daybed as the rain fell outside, devouring "The Miracles of Archangel Michael" by Doreen Virtue (the privilege of my safe life is not lost on me).
I felt drawn to buying this recently despite a pile of other unread angel books on my bookshelf .. one surely can't have enough, yes?
Afterwards, I went to my archangel oracle deck to pull a card... and my heart burst open and I sobbed big fat tears, feeling the reassurance that he was indeed, here.
You Are Safe
Archangel Michael: “I am protecting you against lower energies, and guarding you, your loved ones, and home”
Clearly Michael wanted my attention.
The book was full of people's accounts of calling for his help and experiencing the most miraculous and awe-inspiring support unfolding.
Stories of divine intervention in car accidents to guiding career pivots to protecting children... even repairing plumbing and electrical devices (although my attempts to get his help unblocking our bathroom sink haven’t yielded a result as yet ).
It was proof we aren't alone and we don't have to carry it all on our own.
Asking for divine help is how we can stay centred and in faith, especially in these times.
Which is why Ask is the first step of my ALTARS™ method, which guides you into a deeper relationship with the Divine based on trust, surrender and courage as you fulfil your soul’s purpose.
Asking doesn’t require any fancy invocations, formal prayers or singing an angel’s name three times (I read a book once that made it sound so complicated I nearly abandoned archangels altogether).
You just need a sincere intention to connect.
Simply thinking or saying "Michael, please help me" is enough to evoke his assistance instantly.
And that whole 'asking for help' thing is important, because angels won't interfere with our free will (unless it's a life and death situation and it's not our time to pass).
It’s inspired me to embark on "a month with Michael" and I'd love you to join me.
Up until now I've mainly called on him to clear the energy before sessions/group calls or protect me overnight. But he has extensive expertise!
Here's how this head honcho of archangels can help:
Protection
when you feel afraid, vulnerable or threatened, physically or energetically. You can call on protection for yourself, loved ones, pets, home, vehicles, whatever!
Courage and strength
to move through fear, doubt or procrastination to make the leap of faith you keep almost taking, enforce a boundary, or the moment before a difficult conversation.
Clearing
to remove negative energy, unhealthy attachments or any dense energy that accumulates in your home and your energy field.
Clarity and truth
when you feel confused and need help trusting your own inner guidance.
Your soul purpose
to guide your direction and help move through whatever's holding you back from stepping up more confidently.
Justice
when you need help advocating for fairness, standing up against wrongdoing or supporting those who fight for truth (ahhh the angel for these times!).
Spiritual protection while you sleep
to guard against nightmares or any psychic disturbance. He's been a huge comfort to me over the years when I've felt spooked in the dead of night.
Faith and trust
when you need help holding steady through uncertainty, crisis or change (especially useful in those moments you find yourself overthinking at 3am).
Justice and protection for the world
for when you hear of the latest atrocities and feel the weight of what's happening and you don't know what to do with your grief, rage and helplessness. Call on Michael for the people of Gaza, for those captured by ICE, for those facing violence and oppression, for truth to cut through propaganda and for people’s courage and strength to resist and respond.
So this month, I'm intentionally asking Michael at any moment his expertise can help.
He is the powerful protector and force we need for the moments we're tempted to shrink or let the weight of current events pull us off course.
